About Leslie
Leslie began drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil and hasn't stopped since. She left her native Pittsburgh to study Illustration and Graphic Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and after earning her BFA, she spent a number of months backpacking through Europe and Africa.
She has enjoyed gathering experience in agencies as staff since 2005, and as a freelancer since 2012, for some of the top worldwide holding companies (WPP, Omnicom, IPG, Publicis). Leslie has spent the majority of her career in healthcare advertising, and specializes in campaign concepts, design, illustration, logos & branding with custom/hand-lettering, print design, digital/web design in Figma, and directing photo, video, and audio shoots. Her extensive agency experience spans US and Global, DTC and HCP, branded and unbranded accounts, where she is a client-facing creative with a passion for collaboration and strategy.
In 2013, Leslie formed Gifted Creative Group (giftedcreative.com), which functions as a creative resource collective, and now has ~30 talented members in several cities. She enjoys teaching and helping creatives to bridge the gap between their student and professional careers, and has mentored more than 20 creatives on her own, plus many more in the agency setting. She thrives on organization and learning new things, and enjoys writing, drawing, yoga, rescuing cats, and capturing the world around her, camera in-hand.
